Supporting Kidney Patients and their families in Coventry & Warwickshire

Committee member Kate Balfour talked to members of the Oakridge Golf Club about the Coventry & Warwickshire Kidney Patients’ Association. We are very thankful for the money raised from the Oakridge Golf Club, which was the amazing amount of £2020.
The donation helped to purchase 20 bag warmers for CAPD dialysis kidney patients.

Renal Services at UHCW raised funds for us by running and walking the Big Fun Run, Coventry. This took place on Sunday 9th September 2018 at the War Memorial Park.
What a fantastic achievement for the renal staff who took part. The team, in their bright orange sashes, made a real splash on the day. Everybody went at their own pace, and Dr Fletcher made a quick getaway. Viv, Grace and Kate turned up to watch, and it was great to see such sterling efforts from everybody who took part. After expenses, the Run raised the amazing total of £6,110.16
Part of the money raised came from a fantastic donation by Radio Panj, of £1,100.00. Vivienne received the cheque, with a number of representatives from Radio Panj and CWKPA. The CWKPA Committee says a big thank you to all those who were involved in the Big Fun Run, and especially to Mina Thakor who started the whole thing! Well done, all – a great result after a fantastic effort.
